נוֹצָהf. (b. h.; = נוֹצְאָה; יָצָא) 1) (growth, feathers, down. Ḥull.III, 4 אם נטלה הנ׳ if the down is lost, contrad. to כָּנָף; Tosef. ib. III (IV), 18 נוֹצָא. Ib. VI, 11. Zeb.VI, 5 והסיר את המוראה ואת הנ׳וכ׳ he must remove the crop and the down-covered skin with the entrails that go along with it; ib. 65a בנוצתה נוטל את הנ׳ עמה ‘with its plumage (Lev. 1:16), he must take the plumage that covers it with the crop; Sifra Vayikra, Ndab., ch. VIII, Par. 7 יטלנה עם הנ׳; a. fr.Sabb.28b נ׳ של עזים goats-hair. 2) cmp. צוֹאָה) maw containing the faeces (= קורקבן). Zeb. l. c.
